San Diego Yacht Club Hosts 2009 FUBAR Adventure . Nov 9th through the 26th
San Diego California to La Paz Mexico .
San Diego , CA–November 26th, 2009
The 2009 FUBAR Rally was a big success. Many thanks to Val Farrell and Kemp Ruffner of the San Diego Yacht Club for all their hard work in organizing this great adventure. The 13 day trip from San Diego, CA to La Paz, Baja California was magnificent. The distance covered was approximately 917nm depending on the Captain’s course. There were 7 stops including the finish, which included Ensenada, Turtle Bay, Santa Maria, Magdalena Bay (Man of War Cove), Puerto Los Cabos (San Jose del Cabo), Bahia de los Suenos, and Costa Baja Resort and Marina, La Paz. The weather was good and everyone enjoyed the fishing, exploring and getting to know the crews of all the boats. The Costa Baja Marina in La Paz is beautiful and we want to thank them for hosting a traditional Thanksgiving feast for us all!
